Nenya

This pattern is digital and available in English and Polish.
Nenya is just like inspiring Pre-Raphaelites paintings – brimful with many contrary components, giving a complete, sensual and poetic image. Simplicity and modesty smoothly mix here with abundance of ornaments. Vivid details and sharp lines lightly blend with a mellow shape of the scalloped edges. All this together gives a harmonious and unpretentious, easy to wear and to impress, form, highlighting your natural beauty.
Nenya is a fitted, cropped pullover or summer top with set-in sleeves or a tank top. The bottom body part is richly decorated with intricate lace panels which smoothly transform into elegant twisted rib stitches. Hem and cuffs are finished with lovely, shell-like, scalloped edge. Twisted stitches naturally highlight your curves and provide a comfortable garment to wear. The simple scoop neck is finished with one row of bound off stitches. The arm openings in tank top version are finished in the same way. The main difference between sizes is the number of lace panels on the body and scallops on the cuffs.
Nenya is worked in one piece, bottom-up. It starts with the hem and it is worked in rounds to the underarm, then the stitches are decreased to shape the armlines. After neckline and shoulder shaping, the fronts and back are joined on the shoulders with mattress stitch to provide stabilization and the most accurate pattern match. Sleeve stitches are picked up around the armholes, shaped using short rows and worked in the round down to the cuffs. The sleeves are straight with the lace creating a bell-like shape at the end. The sleeve caps and the shoulders are shaped using wrap and turn short rows for the best result.
The pattern contains detailed instructions for making a pullover, summer top and a tank top in 9 sizes and two language versions – Polish and English.
