This charming cardigan was designed to satisfy the deepest desire for beauty and sophistication of every romantic and sensitive soul. Priscilla is a truly adorable design, filled to the brim with carefully selected intricate patterns and thoughtful details. The final effect is highly influenced by its complexity and well-thought-out form – it is one of those projects that made me soar to new heights of creativity.

Priscilla is a slightly cropped cardigan richly decorated with fine lace stitch patterns, cables and bobbles and finished with a charming wavy placket. It is worked top-down and completely seamless. It starts with two front pieces, which, after neckline shaping, are worked straight down to the underarm. Stitches for the back are then picked up and worked straight down to the underarm. The back and front pieces are joined together and continued straight down in one piece to the hem. Sleeve stitches are picked up around the armholes and worked in the round down to the cuffs. Placket stitches are picked along the fronts and back neck, worked in Rib 1×1 and shaped using German Short Rows to provide the best result.
Every size has its own, unique pattern layout to achieve the most satisfying look and to keep the same vibe and style as the original sample. The main difference between sizes is the number of tiny cable panels and, in case of larger sizes, the number of lace panels.

I designed this sweater so that the back is wider than the front – I think that a cardigan sweater with a moderately deep V neckline, which tends to drop from the shoulders looks and lays much better when the front section is smaller than the back one. I believe I have achieved a nicely fitting front, which falls on the sides in a controlled way giving a neat V shape and providing accurate space for the bust and a comfortable back does not stretch while wearing everyday.

The pattern contains detailed instructions for making a pullover in 7 sizes and two language versions – Polish and English.
For your convenience, each size has its own file, with instructions only for the given size. You will not have to search for instructions on complicated charts nor print many irrelevant information! Just pick your size and knit without distractions! IMPORTANT: you get access to all files (all languages and all sizes).
